Here's Yet Another Guy Telling You How Great Telltale's "The Walking Dead" Is

It's no secret that I enjoy video games.  I imagine many of my peers consider this to be a sign of rote immaturity on my part.  I would respectfully disagree, and simply cite the movies that they are consistently taking their significant others to see as Exhibit A of my argument.  You see, I believe video games to be, in many regards, the most exciting method of storytelling out there now, mainly because it has not yet matured as an art-form.  There are many out there who dismiss them as a child's toy, and even more who believe that the medium could never be classified as "Art" given its interactive nature.  What many fail to realize is that this is precisely the argument that society had at the turn of the last century regarding films.

After much deliberation, I have finally been able to come up with a premise that I believe is solid enough to warrant development of my spec script of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.  Anyone who knows me knows that I believe this show is the best comedy on television, hence why I chose it as my spec.

New job is kinda taking up a lot of my time, but it's also reinvigorated my need to kick life's ass, so I'm posting this just as a statement that I'm not going anywhere.  By the end of the holiday season, I will:

- Finish or catch up with reviews
- Release "Leaving You"

January is all about the Hudson.  Got a lot of great ideas, mostly from watching great television.  I don't know why it took me so long to watch "The Wire".  I've gotten more inspiration from the first two season's than I have in a long time.

Other posts which may be coming your way:

Reasons why Telltale's The Walking Dead is the best video game of the year (which you really should know by now.  Seriously if you haven't played it, go do that.  I don't give a shit if you're a gamer or not, it's accessible to anyone, and it's the best digital journey I've taken in a very long time.)

Of course, should the apocalypse rain down on us tonight, that may put a damper on things.

Until next time?

The Sins of the Few

As a country, we have been through this too many times.  Whether it’s an elementary school in Newtown, or a shopping mall in Oregon, or a temple in Wisconsin, or a movie theater in Aurora, or a street corner in Chicago -- these neighborhoods are our neighborhoods, and these children are our children.  And we're going to have to come together and take meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this, regardless of the politics.
